Very little is known about Jimmy Crockett and The Shanes. The band made the grand final at the 1965 National Battle of the Sounds which was won by The Crickets. They had a sound not unlike Blues Magoos. They released one single on the Festival label. After this period, I have no idea what happened to them. Any additional info will be welcomed.

Jimmy Crocket and the Shanes were the resident band at the North Cronulla Surf Club Saturday night dance during the early to to mid '60s. Whilst fundamentally a rock band they leverage 'surf' music and the dance craze 'The Stomp' (common to beach culture of the era) to enhance their popularity.
