THE TENANTS

The Tenants were indie pub rockers from Bathurst, New South Wales, which formed in 1998. The band won a regional final for Triple J Unearthed in 1998 with the song, "You Shit Me to Tears", which was listed at #3 on the Triple J Hottest 100, 1999 radio listeners' poll. The Tenants ability to write catchy hooks and straight to the point lyrics was one of an above par status to the mid-range listener. Their EP 'Caucasian Overbite' featured punk-type power and smart arse humour, with the best elements of Australian ironic cock-rock without sacrificing quality. The band played alongside the Screaming Jets, Diana ah Naid and The Drugs. They issued the album 'Everything You Know Is Wrong' in 2006.
