Cremator was a parody thrash metal band from Perth from the late 1980s, raw, fast and sometimes not all that together! Cremator formed in 1986 around bassist John Cook and guitarist Bevan Wilkerson; drummer Russell Hopkinson came from Melbourne hardcore band Vicious Circle. They released an EP in 1987 on cassette 'Evil Brew' with the addition of Chris Owens on guitar. The band's mini-album 'Home Style Surgery' released in 1988 on the Waterfront label is ultra-rare and heavily sought after. John Cook was replaced by Kevin McCrear (ex-Massappeal). The band finished up in 1989. Hopkinson would go on and join other well-known bands The Kryptonics, Nursery Crimes and You Am I.
