WESTERN FLYER

.

Blues legend Matt Taylor (ex-Chain) moved to WA in 1976 where he formed band Western Flyer in the late 70s with Brian Peacock (ex-Procession), doing many of the songs they had written while at Fred and Mary Robinson's commune. Their music was a mixture of country rock with a tinge of blues. Recording on the Infinity label they released a number of singles and two albums 'First Flight' and 'Live To Survive'. After supporting several national tours including Don McLean, Mike Nesmith, Taj Mahal and others, they broke up as expenses far outweighed takings.
