THE SEA MONSTERS

The Sea Monsters were formed in 1982 by Billy Gruner and Dean Denham. The band had various line ups and released two singles "Black Rum" and "City Of Funk / Tables And Chairs'' which had Deborah Conway from Do-Re-Mi on backing vocals. They also released three albums 'Winter Sun', 'Fuzz Dice Cult' and 'Lost Days'. Many claim that the Denham/Gruner writing team produced the best songs and was the most successful. In early 1985 Dean Denham departed the band. Billy Gruner then changed the musical direction of the band and focused on a rawer rock sound. They toured extensively along the east coast of Australia. The band split up in 1991.
