Annette Steele grew up in Melbourne. She attended Loreto Ladies College in Blackburn where she became head prefect in 1963. After leaving school she turned her attention to music. Steele appeared a couple of times on ATV-0's program The Go!! Show and was a regular performer at the Q Club in Kew. Signed to the W&G label she released three singles on W&G's subsidiary label In Records from 1966-67 and then seems to have disappeared.
