HUGO

Pop trio and sometime four piece formed in South Australia in the late 60s, Hugo was one of the new breed of groups playing the new and abstract songs of the day such as The Zombies and also their own compositions. They mainly played in Adelaide but also made trips to Melbourne to try their luck. In 1969 they cut their single ''Hey! Watch Out / Girl In The Garden'' at Max Pepper's studio. They appeared on ABC TV's Hit Scene promoting the song but this time with four members. Both sides were written by their vocalist/drummer Ted Martin [Tea Marion]. What they did after this period is unknown. Their song ''Girl In The Garden'' appeared on the 2002 compilation album, 'Peculiar Hole in the Sky: Pop-Psych From Down Under'.
