MARTIRE

Utterly cult Adelaide death metal band that formed in 1986. The band played raw, extreme, brutal death metal. The lineup for their debut EP 'Martire' was Vince Feleppa (guitar, vocals), Tony Vlavis (lead guitar), Frank Usmiani (bass) and Dave Hopgood (drums). Released in 1991, this EP was re-released in 1997 on German label Merciless Records and in 2007 on American label Nuclear War Now! The band supported Morbid Angel in 1992 and then ground to a halt. Don Taylor resurrected the band in 1995 but there has been long periods of inactivity.
