CLYDE HOUSE


Clyde House was a Melbourne blues rock band that formed in the late 60s with Chris Dunn (guitar) George Cross (guitar/bass), Wayne Bennett (drums), Gino Lattore (vocals) and Ted Atkinson (guitar/bass). The band played places like Catcher, Sebastians, Berties, The Village Green, Freedom (Dandenong), TF Much Ballroom, and other venues. The band were often support for bands like Daddy Cool, Chain, Max Merrit, Tamam Shud, Spectrum and heaps of others. The most notable member was guitarist Harvey James who went on to join Sherbet during their halcyon years. After departing Clyde House vocalist Gino Lattore would join the cast of rock musical, Hair and then he formed The Silver Studs. Harvey James died on 15 January 2011 aged 58 after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Gino Lattore died in 1990.
