THE AMAZONS


The Amazons were a beat group formed in the mid 60s. In 1965 the band signed with the Leedon label and released their only single ''Aint That Lovin' You Baby / You'd Better Mind'' in 1966. After this recording Johnny Cave joined the band as lead vocalist replacing Les Tuite. Cave would later find fame in the 1970s as pop singer William Shakespeare. Harry Brus would become a legend in the music industry as a bass player playing with the who's who of Aussie rock.
