Aragon is a progressive rock and metal band from Melbourne. Their style has been described as similar to early recordings by bands like Yes and Pendragon, and therefore more in the field of prog rock than progressive metal however their releases are prized by European prog-metal fans. The band has existed in some form since at least 1986 with their first album 'Don't Bring The Rain' first appearing in 1988. The lineup for this album was Rob Bacon (bass) Tom Behrsing (keyboards, programming) Les Dougan (vocals) Tony Italia (drums) and John Poloyannis (guitar). Their second album 'The Meeting' was released in 1992 followed by 'Rocking Horse And Other Stories From The Past'. The 'Mouse' album was originally issued as a single album but re-released in 1999 on Dutch label LaBraD'or as a double CD including tracks from 'The Meeting'. After a six-year break, the band's most recent album 'The Angel's Tear' was released in 2004.
