Phlegm was a trio of destructive talents from Sydney; Oren Ambarchi, Robbie Avenaim and Nik Kamvissis, now better known for their solo and collaborative recordings, newer acts like Sun, Menstruation Sisters, and Rizili, and the What Is Music? festival that they have made their own. The band released two studio albums from 1994 to 97. If they had compromised towards actual careerism during the band's shortish lifespan, they may have enjoyed commercial success but instead they created a legend for themselves in obnoxiousness that haunts their reputations to this day. In fact none of these members acknowledge their part in Phlegm even to this day.
