DON LANE

Born in November 13, 1933 as Morton Donald Isaacson, Don Lane was an American-born talk show host and singer. Lane became best known for his television career in Australia, especially for hosting The Don Lane Show which aired on the Nine Network from 1975 to 1983. Because of his Las Vegas nightclub background, Lane would work in clubs and theatres throughout Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast. His best-known hit was ''You're Are Everything'' written by Jackie Trent and Tony Hatch and released on the Spin label in 1969. It went #4 on the Sydney charts. Lane died from a dementia-related illness caused by Alzheimer's disease on 22 October 2009. During the last eighteen months of his life, due to his deteriorating health, he relocated from his Sydney apartment to Montefiore Nursing Home in Randwick in Sydney's east.
