LYNN ROGERS



Lynn Rogers grew up in Mt Isa and started her singing career in the early 60s. She appeared on Bandstand, In Melbourne Tonight and other variety TV shows. Though she achieved little recognition in Australia, she set off for the US and in 1965 she worked regularly at the Latin Quartet in Las Vegas. On her return she signed with the Astor label and released three singles and an EP. Despite her success on the club scene, she only charted once with ''Just Loving You'' which was also released in NZ. Lynn has toured the USA, Bermuda, The Bahamas, Jamaica, the Dutch Antilles and South America, appearing for the Hilton, InterContinental and Sheraton hotel chains. Over her career she has appeared with the Maori Hi Quinns, Des O'Connor, Morcombe and Wise, Mike and Bernie Winters, Val Doonican, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Ricky May, Sid James, Barbara Windsor, Ronnie Corbett, Freddy Star, Lynn's Hill, Little and Large, Max Bygraves, Ann Margaret, Frank Gorshin, Dick Shawn, Warren Mitchell, Paul Daniels, Mel Torme and Jack Douglas.
