ROBBIE SNOWDEN

Robbie Snowden, was born in the UK but had lived in Australia since infancy. Robbie started as an office boy at Perth agency AJ Williams recording advertising jingles. He appeared on Johnny Young's TV show. Signed to Clarion Records, he had a #1 in Perth 1966 with a version of Dion's ''The Wanderer'' (also #7 Brisbane) and relocated to Melbourne in 1967.

Johnny Young reflected, ''Robbie was never really comfortable in his Popstar roll. He was a very humble kid more at home promoting and supporting others even though the Fans loved him .. great looks .. Bobby V type voice (hear him sing on you tube (no one really loves a clown ) short in stature Clean-cut and cute''. In later years he worked at Radio 4GG and the Sunshine Coast Daily, and he also worked as a cruise ship director for a while. Robbie Snowden died in December 2009, aged 61.
