After the demise of Steve and The Board in 1967, Steve Kipner formed a duo with Steve Groves (ex-Kinetics) and relocated to England in 1968 where they recorded an unsuccessful LP 'Steve & Stevie' on Toast Records. The album wasn't released in Australia. A single was lifted off the album ''Merry-Go-Round / Remains To Be Seen'' was released in Australia, UK, France, Italy and Spain.
When Kipner ran into Barry Gibb in 1969, Kipner and Groves were signed to Robert Stigwood with Maurice Gibb as their producer, renaming themselves as Tin Tin. The group later scored an international hit, including an American Top 20 placing, with their 1971 single, "Toast and Marmalade for Tea,". The song's success led to Tin Tin supporting the Bee Gees on their American tour in 1972. The 'Steve and Stevie' album was reissued in 2013 on Vivid Sound.
