THE MOTION



Formed in Melbourne in 1968, The Motion were around for a couple of years. Managed by Carol West they were sometimes used as a backing band for John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, Jeff Phillips, Russell Morris and others. Signed up by Ron Tudor they recorded two singles ''Nice Girl / Goodnight Rhonda'' and ''Treat Her Groovy / Faded Love'' in 1969. They appeared on TV shows Uptight and Turning On. The band gigged interstate and locally, supporting bands like Zoot, The Valentines, Flying Circus, Max Merritt and The Meteors etc. They disbanded in early 1970.
