AL HEAD

New Zealand born singer / songwriter who moved to Sydney in the late 60s to try his luck. He released a couple of singles in the early 1970s on the Generation label. His version of ''Mamy Blue'' received little airplay but his second single ''Walk The World Away'' produced by Gus McNeil did relatively well and made the Top 40 in Sydney. This single was also released in Canada. His third and last single ''Giles Of The River'' appeared in 1974 on the Reprise label. He eventually moved back to New Zealand. Al Head died in 2018.

    1. Paul Brand started his career as a folk and blues singer/guitarist in the early 60s. Cut an EP with Emma Hannah, Trevor Lucas and others titled Folk Attick in 1963. The venue was in Kings Cross.
