Bengal Tigers is a heavy metal band that formed in the late 70s. They have split and reformed a few times throughout their existence. The band's style immediately reminds us of 80's hard rock, with its simple guitar-riffs and solos, slightly pouty vocals and rock-anthem choruses. Anything from AC/DC to Judas Priest applies as far as style is concerned. They recorded their first mini album 'Metal Fetish' in 1983. The lineup was Gordon Heald (vocals), Mick Egan (drums), Steve Tyler (bass) and Barney Fakhouri (guitar). Signed to Mushroom they released two singles in 1983 and 1984. Their first full length album 'In The Blood' came out in 1998. Keith Peter-Budge (guitar), Noel Tenney (drums) and James Power (bass) played on the album after some lineup changes. They continue to gig to this day and are regarded as pioneers of aussie heavy metal

IIRC, Bengal Tigers were the only hard rock-heavy metal band signed to Mushroom Records - 'Break and bend' is a great song.
