THE BRADLEY SISTERS

Pauline, Gaye, and Suzanne Bradley were a female vocal trio who lit up Australian television in the early sixties. They appeared on Six O’Clock Rock, Bandstand, and most major TV shows at the start of their career. Performing nationwide, they shared the stage with John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, The Allen Brothers, and many other famous Aussies. They backed Col Joye on the singles ''Naughty Girls'' and ''(The Bells Are Ringing) For Me and My Gal'', and entertained troops in Vietnam in the late sixties. After marrying, Pauline shifted her focus to behind-the-scenes work in wardrobe for numerous TV programs, commercials, and major films like Mad Max 2 and The Matrix. She was later replaced by a fourth sister, Leonie.

  1. There was a 4th Bradley sister, Leonie. Several years younger, but she too joined the trio in a reboot of the group. They lived down the street from me in St Andrews St Brighton.

  3. I became quite friendly with the girls in 1967/69 because they did shows with The Question Marks. My boyfriend at the time was a guitarist with the band. ( He is still a good friend ). They came to a party for me in Clara Street, South Yarra when I left for a trip to New Zealand.
I think Suzanne was the eldest and I’d love to catch up with her if she sees this . I also remember sleeping on the floor of a flat in South Yarra
( I think ). All of us in a row ! I think Leonie was there too.

  4. Pauline married my Dad's brother, Graham 'Grace' Walker and had four boys: Shane, Aron, Nick and Ben. Grace was famously 'standby props' on Skippy and was "The Paw" that opened all the gates. While Pauline worked behind the scenes, he went on to become an art director of some renown, hits being Caddie, Picture Show Man, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Dead Calm, Mad Max 2 and in more recent years, the zombie series The Walking Dead.
They divorced in the eighties IIRC and Pauline now lives in Tasmania, enjoying her well earned retirement.
