Gillian Eastoe born in 1955 was a top performer in the late 70s and early 80s with her band Gillian Eastoe and King Dog which featured Phil Emmanuel on guitar. They made an appearance on
Countdown. She has performed on stage with many greats such as Tom Waits, Jimmy Barnes, Rose Tattoo, Air Supply, INXS and Jon English. Television credits include
Countdown, Nightmoves, The Midday Show and
Mornings with Kerrianne. She has released three albums for ABC for Kids and toured with the Wiggles, Hooley Dooleys, Blinky Bill etc. Gillian’s successful primary school show
What Style has been touring for over a decade. Her album 'Extra Awesome Intergalactical Expedition Into the Far Reaches and Back' was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Children's Album in 1996 but lost to The Wiggles' 'Wake Up Jeff!'. These days she plays as a duo with Terry Murray (born in England, and left school at 15 to play guitar with Thunderclap Newman who are known for their hit single, ''Something in the Air''). He has performed with such rock legends as Tom Jones, Randy Crawford, Tommy Emmanuel and Jimmy Barnes.
