Colin Cooper was born in Grafton in 1946 and lived there for ten years before his family moved to Sydney. Colin entered show business professionally when he entered and won a talent show at El Morrocco in 1962. His big break came when he was signed to Bandstand compered by Brian Henderson. For many years he performed on the Sydney Club circuit. Moving to the Sunshine State he joined the band Dance On which had been a firm favourite on the Gold Coast and regional QLD for over a decade. He recorded on the CBS label. Colin's new band is Colin & The Dynamos based in south east Queensland.

ReplyDeleteI’m sure one of the entertainers was Colin Cooper. I was with a few mates, & we ended up spending a lot of social time with Colin & the other entertainers. Bruce Pollard ( former St George centre ) was also with us on many late nights!
