BILLY T

During the mid-1970s former Daddy Cool guitarist Ross Hannaford became a devotee of Satguru Maharaj Ji and the Divine Light Mission. In 1977 he travelled to the USA to attend various religious festivals. While in the US he formed One Foundation with bassist Joe Creighton (ex-Melissa) to play at Mission conventions. On his return to Australia, Ross, and Joe Creighton formed Billy T with guitarist Russell Smith (ex-Company Caine), drummer Mick Holden (ex-The Mixtures), percussionist Geoff Maling and Neal McPherson on keyboards. They played a mixture of reggae, soul, funk and rock in Melbourne. Signed to the CBS label they released three singles with ''Keep On Dancing'' being their most successful. This single was also released in NZ and The Netherlands. The album 'No Definitions' was issued in 1977. Ross Hannaford died in 2016.
