PATTY MARKHAM


Born in 1941 blonde-haired blue-eyed Patty Markham came to the attention of pop fans in 1959 when she became a regular on Brian Henderson's Bandstand and Six O'clock Rock. She developed a strong following especially in her hometown Sydney. Patty recorded a number singles between 1960 and 1962 on the Rex and Festival labels with ''Blue Star'' being her most successful release. Patty was also a handy tennis player winning countless trophies on the pennant circuit.
