SHIFTERS

 


Tasmanian band formed in 1980 with their first gig being at the Sulphur Creek Hall. The band split their time between touring heavily in Tasmania and playing in Sydney before breaking up in 1985. The band put out two singles on the local Candle label in the early 80s. Their debut single ''Holdin' Out'' made it into the top 10 on the 7HT Top 40 chart. Driver, Reece and Robson stayed in Sydney and formed Bang the Drum. They got back together in 2016 for a reunion gig at Red Hot Music in Devonport and again in 2018.
