VICKI FORREST
Starting very young on a children's TV show Opportunity Knocks, Vicki Forrest then went on to perform on Saturday Date and Bandstand. Johnny O'Keefe saw her on Bandstand and asked her to appear on Sing Sing Sing. This appearance led to a three-year contract with Channel 7 and a recording contract with EMI. During this period, she did a TV special with American superstar Bobby Rydell. Another three-year contract followed this time by Channel 9's In Melbourne Tonight with Graham Kennedy. Her teenage years were hectic with TV performances, recording and national tours. She supported such acts as Freddie and The Dreamers, The Platters, Helen Shapiro plus two overseas tours for the ABC. She recorded a couple of singles on HMV and one on the Gamba label. An album was released on the Pinewood label in 1999 titled 'All My Yesterdays'. Vicki worked the club and cabaret circuit for many years.
